Love is in the air and on our nails

Ok so I've already done one valentines day nail art post, but I thought I'd share these with you as well. For anyone that doesn't get roses for valentines day this year, just paint some on your nails instead! They'll probably last longer too :)

Hope that you like them!

Need some valentines nail art inspo?

Valentines day is just around the corner as you all know because it's being pushed down our throat wherever we look (sorry I sound a little bitter there don't I)? I'm not. I have a boyfriend, but like many I just think Valentines Day is a bit pointless?
One thing I do like about Valentines day though is that it seems to get peoples creative juices flowing, with lots of people posting makeup and nail art tutorials.

Anyone who reads my blog will know I'm a huge nail art fan so it will come as no surprise that I'm doing a Valentines Day nail art special for all you romantics out there. Actually you don't have to be a romantic to appreciate this post, you just need to like lovehearts, roses , and a pink and red colour theme.

First up is this easy look I created.

These are generic colour everyone has in their nail polish collection so you don't necessarily need to use the exact ones I did. It's a really easy design to create that looks quite good in my opinion. What do you think?

Now maybe this next design is aimed more towards the romantic folk out there. Nothing says romance like a stick man and a stick woman with a few hearts thrown in.

Look, the little stick people are in love!!! <3 <3 .

Let me know if you want any nail art ideas!

Do you love a YSL lipstick too?

This little beauty is the latest addiction to the Ceri Jones lipstick collection. It was welcomed by some Chanel, Dior, MAC and Rimmel lipstick friends, however it hasn't been in my make up bag long enough to mingle with them because I've constantly got it in my hand staring at it. This has got to be one of the most luxurious looking lipsticks ever, so can you blame me? The packaging really is stunning with the YSL logo engraved on the outside of the case.
I've been lusting after a YSL lipstick for about a year so when I finally got one I was a tad excited. This colour stood out so much from all the other lipsticks, and as I'm a lover of bright pink lips, this shade is perfect for me.

Things that I like in a lipstick are that they are highly pigmented, moisturising, and have a nice shine finish to them. The YSL Rouge Volupté Shine collection do just that. I wouldn't say they were very long lasting, but with this lipstick I don't mind pulling it out my bag every half hour to re apply because it's just so beautiful!

 - Rouge Volupté Shine , Fuchsia in Excess

I really only have positive things to say about this lipstick, and I'm sure anyone else who owns one would agree.

Have you tried any YSL lipsticks? If so what are your favourite shades?

LIEBSTER AWARD

Thank you to the lovely ladies that nominated me for the Liebster Award!

The idea behind this award is to help new bloggers find other new bloggers in the blogging community.  Below are the rules…

1. You must link back to the person (people in my case!) who nominated you.
2. You must answer the 11 questions given to you.
3. You cannot nominate the person who nominated you.
4. You must pick nominees with under 200 followers to answer your questions.
5. You must tell the nominees they have been nominated by you.

So here goes, these are the 11 questions from my nominees

1. How long have you been Blogging ?
I have been blogging since January 2014 so I'm really new to this world!

2. If you could interview one person for your blog who would it be?
I think I would interview Tanya Burr so I could hear all about her new beauty range. I'm desperate to try out her nail varnish

3. What made you start blogging?
A fair bit of my downtime was spent reading other peoples blogs to get make up or nail art tips and then one day I decided I should just do my own. I'm really glad I did because I've got to know some really nice people through it.

4. What's your all time favourite beauty product?
That has got to be Estée Lauder double wear foundation. I swear by this product and don't think I could ever go back to a drug store brand foundation ever again. It's a little bit pricey but it lasts for ages.

5. What's your guilty pleasure?
At the moment my guilty pleasure is watching Jeremy Kyle. I'm not sure how I've become a fan of his, but unfortunately I have .

6. Favourite movie?
Pitch Perfect. It's acamazing

7. Who's your celeb crush?
Errrr maybe Harry Styles??

8. What advice would you give to your 12 year old self?
I would tell 12 year old Ceri that those Rockports you made your mum buy you would be the biggest mistake of your life and that even 13 years later you will still be cringing over them.

9. What is your favourite place in the world?
Definitely back home with my family!

10. If you could speak another language what would it be?
Definitely Italian. I have been to Italy once and would love to go back again with a bit more understanding of the lingo

11. Cat/Dog
Well I love dogs ( shout out to my dog Troy the Labrador) but I also like cats too. I think I'll go with dogs though!

And that's it! Thanks again to @belleraee and @make_upbykatie for the nominations.

*NEW* Collection Nude Eye Palette

Hi everyone!

I'm going to post today about the new Collection eye palette, which is on offer at the moment for £3.50.
While there is still a lot of hype around THAT eyeshadow palette, I thought i'd review something that hasn't got the £37 price tag.

So here it is.....

There are 3 lighter shades, 2 medium shades, 3 darker shades and 1 highlighter. For the price, they're great. They last well on the eyes and I would definitely use this collection to create some day time looks.

As you can see, the packaging is not in anyway fancy or glamourous. It's definitely not an item you would proudly display on your dressing table.

On the back of the product there is a step by step guide guide on how to use the eyeshadows, which is great if you want some tips on how to apply the make up correctly. I wish I had a few step by step guides when I first started using make up so that I could have avoided the many disasters that occoured (most involving bright green eyeshadow). The highlighter that comes in the set is actually quite good and I think I'll be using that a fair bit in the future.

I've noticed lately how collection have upped their game and are bringing out some great new affordable makeup. My love for this brand is growing so much at the moment.

Overall I think this is a fab little eye palette with a purse friendly price. I think collection is definitely a brand you need to keep your eye on for a few beauty bargains!

Revlon Nail Art

Hello there lovely people.

I really need to stop posting about nails, so I promise this will be the last one for a while (maybe).

I picked up these Revlon nail varnishes for £1 each when I was out shopping which was an absolute bargain. I did purchase them thinking that the coloured ends were going to be a tool to do nail art so I was a bit disappointed when I discovered it was in fact a brush, but for £1 I can't really complain. So, here are the colours I picked up.

The three colours are great and will fit in nicely with the rest of my nail varnish collection. My favourite colour out of the three is the green. I've got a bit of an obsession with green nails at the moment , especially pastel shades.

I had a play around and this is what I've created using the three colours above .

I quite like this look. For a first attempt it's not too bad and I think I'll probably try and do my nails like this for the weekend.

So what do you think? Let me know or like on bloglovin' .
